Dear Wicked Coatings,

Just a quick email to say thanks again for the job done on my parts last week.

I am more than happy with the way they came out and the service that you provided.

I will be in contact soon with more parts to be done…..

All the best,

The Car: R33 GTR
The Process: Carbon Fibre Dipping
The Time: Two weeks
The Price: Approx £750

Who wouldn’t relish the prospect of customising a truly legendary 4th generation Japanese supercar? Let’s not forget that Jeremy Clarkson has dubbed this as “one of the best cars in the world.” The pressure was on and we were raring to go….

In January 2014 this very R33 GTR was featured in Banzai magazine and its owner, Donald Walker, has been vigilant in maintaining the look of the car with frequent annual modifications.  He was especially hopeful to have it ready in time for the Scottish Car Show in July and so we were keen to hit our deadline and produce some spectacular results for him.

Donald is a veteran when it comes to hydrographics and custom painting and for this project he was especially keen for us to employ some sensational carbon dipping for the following components:

HKS roll-cage
Scuttle tray
Rear nissan badge
Bonnet struts
Interior trim
Fan shroud

With the exception of the roll-cage (which proved to be a little trickier than the other parts!) the work was straightforward and took around two weeks to complete. We were delighted with the results and Donald kindly sent us some great pictures of the fully fitted car and a glowing testimonial for our legendary dipping services!

Customisation in any shape or form is pretty wicked – but with the classic history of the GTR model and an especially decent bloke as its owner, we were all in agreement at Wicked HQ that this was undoubtedly the stand out project of the month!

Hi,

Finally I have fitted the coated parts to my VW Beetle dashboard.

Here are some photos, I think they look great; exactly the look I was after. The finish is absolutely faultless.

Many thanks to all at Wicked Coatings, the trouble is now I keep looking for new things to get coated!

I found Wicked Coatings online and really liked the look of their products so sent some of my interior parts from my R33 GTR down for carbon coating .

The finish and delivery was excellent.  I have since sent more parts for coating including a roll-cage and would recommend them highly for their service and workmanship.

Thanks guys

I heard about Wicked Coatings from a bike forum – someone had their KTM RC8 wheels done in the carbon look and I thought to myself that would be fantastic!!

I was doing a CBR900 engine swap project and thought that some carbon coated parts would be perfect for the bike, no issues with poorly fitting aftermarket parts then too as no matter how much you spend on genuine carbon bits they never fit properly (speaking from experience) so for me this was the perfect solution!

I decided what I wanted done and sent an email for a quote along with some photos to Lyle, there was a very quick turnaround time and before I knew it a massive box of bits turned up all freshly coated and looking better than new! I was so impressed with the service I asked them to paint my tail unit also. What they did for me was truly fantastic and surpassed my expectations by some margin!

I will use WC again for any other paintwork or dipping that’s needed on this and future bikes. Amazing service, amazing attention to detail and customer service you just don’t find this day and age anymore.

Many thanks for everything Wicked Coatings!

Some eye catching hydro dipping work on a mountain bike frame.  Our customer emailed to say that it had “certainly attracted a lot of attention at Bespoked, the UK Handbuilt Bicycle Show” which was great to hear.

There is nothing we enjoy more then a Wicked paint transformation project – especially when the bike in question is an all-time classic.

This month we were super excited to get to work on this Harley Davidson Sportster with a fantastic brief from the owner.  After an in-depth consultation  it was time to roll up our sleeves, head to the factory and get this beast of a bike “Summer ready!”

THE LOWDOWN

The Bike: Harley Davidson Sportster
The Process: Custom Painting
The Colour: Custom Paintwork in high gloss black

It’s always good when our customers come to us with a vivid idea of the customisation they are after.  The owner of this HD Sportster, Andrew Stainer, had spent quite some time researching the project and eventually found some inspirational pictures online that were similar to the finish he was after.

Having searched for a trusted custom painting specialist online, he found our Wicked Website and decided to get in touch to discuss his brief

He initially need us to:

Repair minor scratches & dents
Prepare components for paint
Paint all parts as per his ‘inspiration’ photo

The parts that were sent to us for customisation (all from a black 2012 HD Sportster were):

Front fender
Rear Fender
Oil Cover
Battery cover
Tank

Having completed the prep work we started the customisation be applying a high metallic silver base in Hades water transfer. Following that we stenciled “Harley Davidson” onto the tank and shaded it in.

Andy was keen for us to produce a faint watermark style red throughout the paintwork which would really compliment the brass hand controls of the sportster. To incorporate this into the customisation we ended up applying a Kandy Apple Red Lacquer which worked perfectly to bring the bike to life!

We all think it looks pretty awesome.

If you fancy something similar for yourself then just give us a call on 01202 622258 to discuss the project you have in mind or take a look through our image gallery for some inspiration!

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

1 x 1966 VW Camper Split Screen
2 x Maverick Car Fanatics
1 x Hydrographics Specialist
1 x Crazy Vision For Customisation

Mix well for 60 minutes to produce…………….. Episode Three of Ultimate Wheels!!!!

For those classic car traditionalists out there –  the idea of a 1966 VW camper being cranked up with a whole lot of leather, a plasma screen and a drinks bar may be just enough to have you screaming SACRILEGE at your television screen… But for the open minded motor enthusiasts out there – this episode is all about showing what can be achieved as the flamboyant Elo and his maverick mechanic take risks that no other series has yet to attempt!

So it was with great excitement that the Wicked Coatings crew trekked to London in order to meet up with the famous Elo at the London Motor Museum (which he owns).  After discussing his vision for the VW camper in more detail and bringing a number of samples for him to choose from, Elo made it very clear that there would be no room for chrome in his outlandish plans for the camper!! Instead, he opted for a total wood effect throughout – choosing one of our popular wood grain patterns.

We headed back to the factory and got to work – and boy did we have a lot to coat! Bumpers, window trims, door handles, locks, various interior parts too – you name it, we coated it!

The results were pretty insane and it was a blast to be involved in the project. Customisation is what we live and breathe and so it was wickedly good fun to be working with Elo and helping to bring his eccentric brief to life!

Keep your eyes peeled for our next appearance on the series later this month….

Awesome final result for this carbon dipped Superduke 990.

Hi,

Just to say my parts you dipped for my Superduke 990 are stunning , superb standard and the bike looks amazing now!

Big thanks to you all at Wicked Coatings.

I recently used Wicked Coatings to get various body parts and interior parts Carbon Fibre dipped on my brand new 2014 F Type Jaguar Coupe.

Wow what an absolutely fantastic result! Wicked Coatings kindly turned these around within 4 days after my urgent request. I would recommend Wicked Coatings 100% to anyone – whether they own Audi or an Aventador!

Wicked Coatings produce Wicked Results!

Ultimate Wheels is a brand new car restoration series that is re-writing the rules when it comes to crazy and unique customisation.

Due to hit our screens on the 17th April at 9pm on the History UK channel, this addictively quirky show has been tipped to capture the imagination of motor enthusiasts as incredibly rare and iconic cars are treated to one-off transformations.

Based on the History channel’s popular vehicle restoration show “Counting Cars,” Ultimate Wheels is brought to us by the flamboyant owner of the London Motor Museum, Mai Elo and his mechanical mastermind Will Trickett.

These guys are clearly insane when it comes to the sheer scale of customisation that they commit to and it’s this fresh level of craziness that will set the series apart from traditional restoration programmes!

In eight 60 minute episodes, Will and Elo will treat us to a feast of modification projects – from precious bargain supercars like the 1989 Ferrari 412 to vintage campervans and even a little mustang muscle!

In a series that will undoubtedly become famous for taking restoration to the next level – it seems only appropriate that Wicked Coatings will be invited to play their part… So make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the masters of customisation to make their appearance not only once but TWICE on the show!

We are bound to secrecy in terms of the jobs that we do but it is safe to say that the true car enthusiasts among you will not want to miss this series.  After all, it’s not every day that a Mexican supercar prototype is transformed into the Ultimate Bat Mobile!
