Hydrographics, Carbon Dipping, Water Transfer Printing – are they all the same thing?

Back to listing

You have probably noticed that we use quite a number of terms to describe what we do here at Wicked Coatings! Predominantly, we stick to the phrase “Hydrographics” as an umbrella term for the type of customisation that we offer – but there are many many other ways to refer to exactly the same process – you will probably recognise or have used one of the words below when searching for us on Google or Bing:

  • Carbon Dipping
  • Water Transfer Printing
  • Cubic Printing
  • 3D Printing
  • Hydro Dipping
  • Immersion Printing

Each one of these terms refers to exactly the same thing – but the bottom line is, we can customise pretty much any object imaginable using our expertise in this multi-phase process known probably most commonly as Hydrographics.

For all you DIY enthusiasts – it is definitely possible to achieve pleasing results in the comfort of your own home with a few essential items such as a basic container, thermometer, hydrographics film and activator.

However, for a truly professional and guaranteed result that is 100% perfect every time – you should be putting your hydrographics project into the hand of an expert like Wicked Coatings!
